Sen. Tom Cotton, R-AR, on Sunday Said Republicans should put in “a lot of work” to fix the problems with their bill intended to repeal the Affordable Care Act rather than “trying to rush to some arbitrary deadline.”
“I simply think that it’s not going to work to bring down premiums for working Arkansans and working Americans all across the country,” Cotton said during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
He said Republicans need to fix the issues with the legislation instead of trying to force it.
“It’s fixable, but it’s going to take a lot of work,” Cotton added. “And we need to roll up our sleeves and focus on fixing those problems rather than trying to rush to some arbitrary deadline.”
