Jim DeMint joined Sarah Palin's Tea Party quitter brigade today, announcing he would be leaving the Senate at the end of the year, right in the middle of his term. Senator Lindsey Graham spoke on the floor, looking like someone had knocked him around. Watch this segment from The Ed Show.

South Carolina's teabag governor will appoint another DeMint. What a shame they won't have an election. Good riddance to DeMint. He must have some shred of honesty if he didn't get rich as a senator.. most of them do. But not to worry, he'll get rich now.

TAX THE RICH, don't worry Jim, your buddies will show you how to hide the wealth, but maybe you already know that.

Per the new he is going to get a big pay raise. His net worth is about 40K so going to this job will increase his worth by 960K per year. He wont be missed as he had one bill and that was to remane a post office or a court house. He put his name on alot of stuff but it wasnt his ideas. Now he can put his name on alot of stuff and support alot of his super conservatives like he did this last election cycle. He will make this group more radical and conservative then it has ever been. It was ultra now it will be ultra tea party conservative. If Iam not mistaken this group was an spin off of the Koch Bros American enterprise insutute which is a sham.

I don't know what to make of this one yet, but it works for me. The wrap yourself in a flag, I'm a patriot, your not- tea party doesn't have enough juice to go main stream. Demint is going where the $$$ is, a con- servative "think tank". He can rant there all he wants and get paid handsomely for it. Pay your taxes Jim.

Time will really tell whether DiMint's departure from the Senate will be a good or bad thing. Since South Carolina is a red state, the Senate replacement will also be a Republican and because it has a Tea Party governor, Jim will probably be replaced by a far right individual but hopefully one that is not as hostile to veterans as he was.
