Republicans Bailing on Mitt Romney

Mitt Romney has his fellow Republicans running for cover after he showed his true colors at a fundraiser in which he showed his disdain for the poor. Governor Susana Martinez, Nevada Senator Dean Heller, Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown, and even his own running mate Paul Ryan, all made a point to distance themselves from Romney's comments. Watch it.

Failed Obstruction & Sabotage will be the Waterloo of the Republican Party!!! When the Democrats gain seats in the Senate, Take Back the House & Re-elect President Obama it will be the end of the Republican Party.......WATERLOO!!!!!.........I have been saying all along that the Republican Party is in complete disarray and once they are put in bad position politically by their failed strategy to not govern, but obstruct & sabotage instead while attempting to fix the vote through voter suppression & Citizens United.......it will back-fire & be the end of the Republican Party as we know it!!!!!!!!!!!!...........GOP in-party fighting & no-return on investment!!!!!!!!!!!

Mitt Romney has no moral standing to be President. Here is a guy who made money as a vulture capitalist; who probably didn't pay income tax for a number of years or certainly paid a lower rate than most people who make their money through a job; who refuses to release his tax returns like his father; who tells bald faced lies in his campaign like the welfare ads against Obama; and now show nothing but contempt for about half of the country. If he wins (he isn't too far behind the President in the polls, has unlimited financial support and will benefit from the voter suppression efforts of the Repubs.) I don't think he would be able to govern,--no moral standing.

I hear you Harold. He insults half the country, then more or less states his insult wasn't worded correctly. As President what's he going to do? Would he lob an insult at Russia, China, the Middle East, that couldn't be taken back? Romney is one of those guys who proves wealth and smarts don't necessarily go hand in hand. He fits the pub mode of ignorance and arrogance. What you see is what you'll get with this clown. Besides Blacks, women, Hispanics, the poor, the middle, who hasn't he insulted along the campaign trail? He's a hard guy to like.

I knew this guy was a compulsive liar. He won't even apologize for insulting 150M people. Instead he tries to justify what he said and stands by it. When you're wrong and you've hurt peoples feelings, you should at least admit it and say you're sorry.

I liked what Ezra Klein said tonight. Somebody needs to ask Romney...."what does a single mom with two kids who works for Walmart and makes about $20K a year need to do to take responsibility for her life?" What does she need to do to measure up to H.R.H. Romney's standards for being a responsible person?

Should she borrow $1M from her parents to start a private equity firm and takeover struggling firms, run up mountains of debt forcing the company to file bankruptcy and rake in all the money. Yes, that is what she should do to impress Mitt. She should become a professional thug in a suit.

Just looking at him makes me sick.

Romney said something off the cuff, or not on camera. When you do that, the remarks are what you are as a person. It is you, inside and out!! The Republicans are afraid that people will think it is what they are too. But it is what they are. It truly is!!!!

I agree. The Republicans don't disagree with what was said. What scares them is that Romney said things that they all have hinted at time and time again, over decades, and now they must repair some of the dmage, it is doing to their brocken party.

This appears to be another Akin type of situation. These are the same GOPs who voted for the platform that included extreme measures. So I believe these GOPs are just trying to cover their butts and do not disagree with Romney. After all, many of these congressional members voted for the Bush tax cuts which greatly benefited the 1%ers. The GOP is the party of telling the public what they want to hear and when elected do something different. How can we forget about the ALEC drafted laws that were enacted in GOP run states and the bills that the GOP attempted to pass through the House and the Senate. So I am not buying the words that the GOPs are saying because their actions speak so loud, I cannot hear what they are saying.
