Plouffe: GOP Wants More Tax Cuts, More War
posted by Ed Staff | Sunday, June 17, 2012

Just in case you need a reminder... David Plouffe reiterates the Republican position in 2012. More tax cuts, more war, more of the same. The same failed policies that got us into this mess in the first place. Watch it.

McCain keeps saying we need to arm the Syrian rebels. We have no clue as to who they are or which side they'll take. They may just start using those arms against us. Good old GOP war machine at it's finest.

Bush 2.0 is what mittens want. The people dont get it he just want to be bush and the congress will not do a thing to improve this country just to gain power, and they will blame this president for everything from the great chicago to the end of the world on december 21 2012. They are self serving and are willing to sell the country for this reason....

just my humble view

I've been thinking about a twitter account for months, and now you've talked me into it blueb. This message has to go out, just how dangerous these people are and Americans better wake up and stop being bought and paid for with lies. The republicons really do want war, they really do! We will attack yet another country under a robme presidency.. the horrors of facism are just around the corner.

TAX THE RICH.. do it Mr. President, now that you've found your voice and your backbone!

Keep in mind, these clowns admitting they will do nothing are the same ones that always accuse the President of "not leading". The definition of hypocrisy in Websters should say....a Republican.

The pubs have a history of not governing. They are just out front about it now, using Obama as the scapegoat for their inaction. This is honestly the most useless body in Congress that I have ever seen. All the time they are living large off the taxpayer dime. It's good to be King.

45,000 Americans die annually because they are uninsured. This number is higher than the number killed in Afghanistan and Iraq combined by nearly ten times. It is one thing to have casualties in war but to have unnecessary wastage of human life in peacetime is totally inexcusable. We need universal health care in the form of a Medicare public option. I wish now that we had pushed harder for this but the votes were not their in the Senate. I am wondering when we will wise up and pass a Medicare for all public option. 50 million uninsured Americans need health insurance.

The GOP Congress is doing nothing to pass any jobs bill that might help President Obama this fall. The GOP would rather let the economy languish than try and do anything to help the economy. The GOP are nothing but bastards as far as I am concerned. The American Jobs Act should have been passed many months ago. A comprehensive infrastructure repair bill should also have been passed months ago. We have $2.2 trillion worth of infrastructure that needs to be fixed. Maybe the Republicans would rather see more bridges fall down rather than do anything to fix them? Our sewer and water mains all across the country need major replacement and repair. We waste huge amounts of precious fresh water when we have old 100 year old water mains. So the GOP is failing America. Voters should support President Obama because the GOP sits on its butt and does absolutely nothing to help America except bitch about more tax cuts for the rich that will expire in December. Where are all those jobs bills Speaker Boehner?

I'm uncertain if the dems are doing all that they can,,,,but i think they are. they are just fighting against a tremendous power then the majority continues to vote against their best interest...i have begun to try to understand this enemy. I began with reading a book about Ayrn Rand, the mother of extreme capitalism, very close perhaps the root of extreme liberalism. when i read that Paul Ryan has it on his reading list.

this philosophy is unreal! it really is, and it explains much of how the GOP is behaving...they don't acknowledge any hardship, sick, elderly in their world view. in their world view everyone if young, fit, healthy. their motto is selfishness is good selflessness is bad.

thats why you/I can't understand them they have created their own reality.

its kind of a symptom of mental disorder--when one has their own reality. maybe a group mental disorder?

somewhere i read that tea partiers, believe the bankers are victims in the whole great recession episode. that bankers were forced to give loans to people who could not afford housing because the federal government passed some kind of law that loans had to be given to minorities and that federal regulation is what caused the bubble & recession--therefore federal regulations must end to prevent banks from being victimized again....THAT IS HOW THEY ARE GETTING PEOPLE TO ACT AGAINST THEIR OWN INTEREST....interesting book on Ayrn

Ayn Rand nation : the hidden struggle for America's soul

Weiss, Gary (Gary R.)

She came out of Nazi Germany,Russia communism period

her family was well to do when communism came to russia and all were equalized--that means her family went from wealth to poor as her families wealth was taken and given to the state for the betterment all....

the betterment of all became EVIL

thats were that selfish ness comes in and aultrism is bad

we are living through the after affects of communism--our capitalism is nothing like communism or socialism, its not our world, their world is not real either.

read recently somewhere that democrats have a much bigger presence on twitter than GOP and contact through twitter may be one way to communicate without requiring the huge cash amounts that Citizen united forced on our political system. i'm likely to soon get a twitter account.

I am all too tired of James Carville, and these Monday morning quarterbacking democrats, flapping their gums. Many of them are and were no better than this bunch of conservatives, who have gone to the extreme. Many Democrats, are just as guilty as the Republicans, of letting some things slip through, without much concern, or action, when they too have and had control of the House! I will use 1999 as an example of this, when that one big bill on regulation was voted on and only a tiny few democrats, you can count them on one hand, voted against that terrible bill., which paved the way for what happened in the housing market, during the GW "Bush" years. The bad election of 2000 and what Florida did, and the Supreme Court and everything else like Citizens United, just adds fuel to the fire. There have only been a handfull of Democrats, like Feingold, who really cared about taking action, and we all know what happened to him, he lost to an extremist and money. Russ Feingold was probably the first casualty of that kind of Corporations as people kind of thinking, and let money buy it for me, needless to say, Tea Party'er Ron Johnson, won, because, the people of Wisconsin fell for it, hook line and sinker. Sorry for the pun but it is all true. The democrats need to get out there and push with everything they have to make sure that they win, and have a strategy to tell the people for that win, I don't hear many of them, saying anything about what they will do, should they take back the House, not even from people like Pelosi. I'm not happy with either party, and it seems the only one saying anything of merit is Bernie Sanders. But having said that, there is still a clear choice for me in November.

I am excited that when I return to the states, I will get Current TV. I'm sorry about what happened to Olbermann, but he didn't plan out very well what he was going to do when he went to current, and his big ego colided with Gore's big ego. The battle of the ego's was the main problem. Current has some of my favorite people now, including Stephanie Miller, and Bill Press. they keep adding new things all the time, and now Gavin Newsome, has Friday night show, and, Joy Behar, will have a nightly show, and I can't wait to see a whole show of the Young Turks. That will be my network, but I still like Rachel, and Ed, and Lawrence. Dylan Rattigan, is leaving MSNBC, the end of this week, haven't heard what he will be doing, but maybe he will say on his last day, which I guess, will be Friday! Interesting!

The conservatives have ice in their veins, they won't be happy til we have the poor starving to death and the sick dying in the gutters and ditches if they can't afford healthcare!

Mr. Romney and the GOP have a message....they have considered the unemployment problem for 3-1/2 years and after due reflection they have decided not to take the unemployment problem seriously until after the election.

Remember Mitt Romney has been running for president for 8-years
