Florida Governor Jeb Bush signed 'Stand Your Ground' into law, but in the wake of the Trayvon Martin slaying, he's now out defending it. Watch this segment from the Ed Show.
Of course he does. He's a Bush, a conservative, and they are never wrong. The Bush family just will not go away. They are the gift that keeps giving. donnajoy is correct about the lovable group ALEC. They were formed as a "nonpartisan" group for "conservative state lawmakers" interested in "limited government, free markets, federalism, and individual liberty" Non partisan group for Conservative lawmakers ??
ALEC does fun stuff like financing trips for state lawmakers to learn about its 'model legislation' while connecting them to big corporations, like BIG tobacco, BIG oil, for-profit prisons and such. ALEC has successfully promoted legislation to eliminate collective bargaining, require voter identification, and allow for school vouchers to be used. Wisconsin and Arizona are both engaged in a current debate over collective bargaining legislation similar to what ALEC has been promoting. They are all about truth justice and the CONSERVATIVE way producing what they call model legislation. I'm not surprised in the least they back up the Jebster on this shooting.
This lame law OK's shooting anybody who is perceived as a threat. Sounds like legalized murder to me.

Another Bush bought by the NRA. He sounds just as cold as his brother George. He is trying to play both sides of this situation. On the one hand Jeb wants to sound like he feels bad about the death of Tryvon Martin but on the other side he is fighting to make sure that the "Stand Your Ground" law remain on the books. He wants to remain in good standing with the NRA in case he decides to run for President in 2016. Like we really need another Bush in the White House. The apple does not fall far from the tree. If the Americans elect Jed Bush President in 2016, we all need our heads examined. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is called insanity.
As governor, Jed was told by many as this bill was discussed that there were many flaws with it because it was too vague. He refused to listen and signed it as fast as he could. In fact ALEC praised him and used it as a template for other states.
As his brother, he must believe that one should shoot first and then ask questions. How can a person really live without a conscience?

Jeb Bush and especially Dick shoot you in the face Cheney & the rest of the tea party republicans who are clinging to their guns believe you shoot first and ask questions later....
If George zimmerman had of minded his own business, Trayvon Martin would be alive today......

Jeb Bush is, and was just another pushover-puppet for the NRA. Many of these Conservatives, will do almost anything these people want them to do.That is what is happening to our country in general. through the group "ALEC", all of these terrible laws, and many more which undermine our great Constitution and our basic voting rights, are being passed through various states, without any particular thought to what the result will be to many many people. The only way that some of this can reversed is to vote people out of office. Wisconsin can begin with Scott Walker, and some of his nasty Republican cronies. There are already 15 counts of felony wrong-doing among Scott Waker people from his campaign when he ran for Governor. Maybe if Walker, and some Repubs go, this will send a clear message to some of the rest of them. Many of these Governors, are finding out that some of what they have done in their war on women, are not so popular at all.
There is too much at stake, in our country, and the world as a whole, from Climate Change, to Nuclear Weapons, to unnecessary war-mongering, to dependance on dirty fossil fuels, to needed jobs, to repairing many things, and giving R-E-S-P-E-C-T, to each other, and other individuals, that we value like TEACHERS, etc.
People need to step up and be adults, and vote like they are serious about all of the issues that we face as a country, and act like they know we need serious people to solve those problems, instead of the circus act, and the political, game playing, that has been going on for far too long.

I want to do everything I can to improve our country, all of the things I talk about on my website and hopefully even more. What would that take? A special election? Another special election? An act of congress? What ever it takes, do it! Im not going to back down and say "no I dont want that job" That would be foolish. I do learn from my mistakes. What Im saying these days is I WANT MY PHONE CALL! Fortunately this isnt a sci fi movie where agent Smith tells Mr. Anderson (alias Neo) "Tell me, what good is a phone call if youre unable to speak?" I am able to speak and I want my phone call! You cant scare me with these gestapo tactics. How long must we sing this song? When can we turn the page? Dont tell me Im just a singer in a rock and roll band. Dont tell me those dreams just kind of came and went. Its just the simple man who pays the bills, the bills that kill ah but aint that America. Little pink houses for you and me. House the people livin in the street, shoe the children that aint got no shoes on their feet. Oh theres a solution, but i dont know what to do, so I leave it up to you.
And acctually if my understanding is correct my fellow Americans have made their choice. Again I ask how much longer must we wait?
Im Tony MASCHIETTO
Oh and buy American! Cokacola is sold worlwide but what id really recomend is a small block Chevrolet v-8! I am so glad our president saved our automobile industry. If I didnt have other plans Id love to either build or design cars. American cars.
Heres something else Id like to see. Anytime and every time you go to a fast food place ask to speak with the manager, and ask him where the beef came from. If he tells you its from anywhere but the U.S., tell him "No thanks I'll come back when you start selling American beef!
Best regards,
president elect, Tony Maschietto

If you could give a comment to the whole world, what would it be? When i first pictured this question i had to think a moment. Then 3 ideas came to me. With the world population going up and up, with so many unplanned pregnancies by unprepared young mothers, one them was "use contraception". Additionally with global warming and nuclear disasters etc. another was "use clean energy such as solar power". Thats something that should be applied world wide. Finally, with all of the death, violence, hate and wars going on, "stop the killing". With this nra stand your ground and thus murderers being allowed to kill freely in OUR COUNTRY, how can I or other Americans say to the world "stop killing" if we cant even do that in our own country? Im going to stand my ground and tell U.S. Americans STOP KILLING. In Japan no one has guns. Unemployment is low and crime is very low. Its a peacefull country. Id like to see America be more like that. Japan has a very good national healthcare program. They also have what seems to be a reasonable tax structure. Obviously America is a free country with a good constitution. We can have whatever beliefs we want. Our constitution states that we have the right to bare arms. Ok, but gun owners have got to have the common sence to use them either for legal hunting or taget practice (with out jack a$$es saying "pretend its our president"). Guns have got to be kept and used safely! Murder cant be legalised! Heres a question. how can the n RIFFLE assn tell people or politians to make laws regarding HAND GUNS? These are more different than apples and oranges.
As allwys u can see my site....
