The14th Amendment is the reason Mitt Romney is here. His Dad was born in Mexico and worked with his parents as immigrate workers. George Romney is a mexican citizen and married a US citizen. George Romney is Mitt Romneys dad. Doesn't that make Mitt an anchor baby?

How could he possibly vote againstTthe Dream Act?

The Dream Act is one of those "no brainer" bills that need to be passed into law immediately. This sort of issue shows the almost racist undertones within the radical right wing conservatives in America. Remember, these kids that we are talking about have spent nearly all of their lives in America. They have gone and graduated from American schools. Most have never gone nor ever will go back to their countries of their birth. So for all intents and purposes these are America's children but we instead decide to treat them like aliens because of a decision their parents made years ago. These kids are not responsible for the decisions of their parents. The Dream Act would allow these kids to go to college, join the armed forces, and become citizens, marry and stay here because they after all are Americans. Why would you want to send a high school graduate who has spent ten or more years of their life going to school in America back to Mexico or Guatemala? These kids do not know anyone in their native countries and often times may not even speak their native language because all they know is English. Yet according to the racist right wing in our country we must send them back to their native countries.

The Dream Act must be passed into law immediately. The GOP's intransigence on what should be a simple straightforward bill should be used by Democrats as a major political issue in 2012 to defeat the racist GOP. The Democrats must promise to pass the Dream Act. Hispanics will want to rally behind Democrats. This is good politics because the Hispanics are the fastest growing minority in America. We also need to work at organizing Hispanics into labor unions. A smart Democratic party could exploit the Dream Act issue to push an agenda of overall immigration reform. We need to quickly pass a bill that will start a process of citizenship for Hispanics that have lived ten or more years in America. Why do we want a permanent underclass living here in America? The GOP could be set backwards for a generation if Democrats play this issue correctly by passing the Dream Act and moving forward with comprehensive immigration reform.
