Romney Tries to Distract on Medicare Attacks
posted by Ed Staff | Monday, August 13, 2012

In an effort to distract from the well documented efforts of Republicans, and particularly Paul Ryan, to do away with Medicare, Mitt Romney played a game of "No I Didn't, You Did" on 60 Minutes, claiming President Obama is the one endangering Medicare via the Affordable Car Act. Watch it.

What is he going to distract us with. Paul Ryans support of the wildly unpopular personhood amendment. Perhaps he can tout Ryans extensive business experience flipping burgers at Mickey D's, driving the Oscar Mayer wienermobile, or working for his dad's company while waiting for the Congressional election returns in his hometown - Lamesville. How about his landmark legislation to give a tax break for arrows used by archers. Mitt wants to distract us on everything he has ever done- his early life of a bully, his religion, his business crimes, his commitment to Switzerland/Cayman Islands/Bahama, the SLC Olympic fiasco, his embarassing tenure as a "moderate" governor. Everywhere he goes he destroys his records - Bain is "private" and thus off limits, the SLC Olympic records are sealed, the hard drives from his gubernatorial administration were destroyed, his non-existent tax records showing that he paid 1% less than Paul Ryan's economic disaster plan would have him pay.

The Romney/Ryan team is NOT what this country needs. We do NOT need more of the Bush economic and foreign policies. We need a MORE balanced approach to our economy which includes more public sector jobs. We do NOT need to privatize the post office or the public education system. Taking the rights and money from the middle and lower class and giving it to the 1% will only widen the income gap.

Unfortunately for Republicans, they can't govern. They can obstruct and oppose but they can't govern. Can you imagine what would happen if Romney/Ryan were elected. Their

economic ideas wont work; unemployment will stay high, may go higher. Their plan to modify Medicare will be a complete disaster; what elderly senior on a limited income with two maybe more medical condition would be able to afford health insurance even with a voucher from the government. And remember the health insurance industry is exempt from anti-trust legislation. They will just fix prices to soak up the government's voucher leaving the poor senior to make up the short fall if they can. The people won stand for it and vote them out again. Unfortunately we seem to have to go through this process before the people wise up.

All of the jobs that Ryan has had were all Government paycheck jobs, of some form or another. The hypocrisy continues. People better wake up to what he is, and what Romney is, for sure!

Actually Bob you are forgetting the seniors who are million & multimillionaires. it is in their best interest to vote for a Ryan/Romney Ticket...and i must tell you the 401 matching retirement investment plan was begun during my first job. I unfortunately was badly affected by the economic crisis and then followed a health issue, makes me someone who would be crazy to vote for Romney...but i have friends that managed to hang on to their jobs through this recession and did not have health issues...in 15 more years they will retire as millionaires, from the 5-7% they put in their IRA with matching funds. There will be many more 401 millionaires in another 15 more years or so. they are not millionaires now, they are comfortably middle class raising their kids.(kids now in starting college) in 15 more years they will be 401 millionaires

I have been seeing his record and he has had two bills passed in 13 plus years, he voted for the wars, tarp, auto bailout, voted for most bills that are against women, and introduced a personhood type bill in the congress. Was watching the young turks as I get hardball two times so I watch the young turks. This man is a complete phony on buget matters, and a heartless person when it comes to womens rights.

These two will lie and have the minions deny voters rights to win their way to the white house.

Then say.........Mitt Romney & Paul Ryan are against the $700 billion in Medicare savings..........the Radical Republican Party is so against cutting waste fraud & abuse from the Medicare system because they are in bed with the industry responsible for the abuse.............they are so against that SAVINGS that they are going around telling lies about it to protect the fraud........

I agree blueb..........it is such an easy lie to counter by simplifying the facts.....it is 700 billion is savings accomplished by a crackdown on wasteful spending..........real simple message...who could be against that????.......besides Mitt & Ryan????

the whole cut of $700 billion from medicare is an old lie being recyled...why can't the obama admin say they found $700 B dollars in savings of wasteful spending since he was elected pres? seems like all pres promise to cut wasteful spending, has he had no success with claiming that, that i might have missed?

Bio Green Cleaner
Bio Green Clean Newsletter

"I wanted to touch base to let you know that we did get our bottle of the Bio Green Clean, and had the chance to test it in a number of ways for a few days. It did a fine job on the standard things I tested it on at home (kitchen, bathroom, the usual suspects), and being able to use something that works as well as, or even better than other products, with the added advantage of being pure green does speak well for it. The real fun though began when the boys around the shop each took a turn, and of course being boys they were off and running on the odd and difficult issues, which is where BGC leaves others in the dust (didn't actually intend it as a pun, but I kind of like it, so it stays). Mark had problems with his computer mouse, which has rubber sides that had become tacky over time, and for almost a year he tried everything he could think of to get rid of the stick. He decided that was his test area, and the man was floored (and pretty excited) when BGC totally eliminated the tackiness completely. Next up, running around trying it out of anything and everything we could think of. The biggest test was on one of the company vans, that had brownish stains down the sides of the white van. Over the years, we have tried having them removed at car washes and repair shops, and nothing would get the stains out, but the BGC took it off with no waiting - just sprayed it on and wiped the streaks away. So in summation, we tried it, we really liked it, and yes, D/R Services (and WinSol Power Company) do want to be a wholesaler of BGC products. We will put together our first wholesale order, this week! I can't wait to take some home again - after seeing the effect it had on the boys around the shop I'm anxious to see if I can get the same response from my husband; maybe I won't have to do any cleaning myself for a while!
