There is absolutely no mistaking that Cheney wielded far more power than W ever could have hoped to have. He and Rice butted heads constantly because of his need to control everything. He is one scary creepy dude. On 9/11 he was at the controls of everything including NORAD. It came out in the 9/11 report. When in history has anyone ever heard of a sitting Vice President being in complete control of our air defenses when our country was under attack?? Could you see the VP under Roosevelt taking over after Pearl Harbor?? It would have been unheard of. Yet no one, not one person questioned this. He had no military experience of any kind in his life. I'll never understand this as long as I live.

Palin was a mistake & the GOP went with her over Mitt Romney...........so Mitt must be even a bigger mistake.........they just won't tell us that until the elections are over.............

Mitt Romney has not paid any taxes for more than the last decade.................the tax system might even have paid him................how is that fairness?...........how is that good for paying down the dept?............how is that good for the economy?......................because Mitt doesn't pay taxes.........that means the rest of us have to make up the slack & pay more........

It's amazing how arrogant this pig is to try to enter the political scene again after being the worst VP in history. No doubt, Palin was an idiot and McCain paid for having her on his ticket. Yet, Cheney who lied and manipulated to get us into these wars, and how many more, is walking free with a new heart thanks to the taxpayers. At least Bush is smart enough to stay away, but Cheney still hasn't finished the job.

Yes, we're still seeing the mess created by him and the war hawks, Bush was a puppet, as they muscled their into Afghanistan and Iraq for OIL and for the profits made by their construction companies. We have no money left for health care, social services, infrastructure yet we're spending $10 billion a month in Afghanistan which is a mess, and how much more on Iraq where Al Qaeda now has a foothold?

I'm just waiting for one media person to really lay it out to Cheney, but they're all so afraid to bring up meaty topics that they only wish him good health.

His photo shows his brighter side. Look how happy he is talking about the air head that Mccain picked. Every time I see this man's face on the news it makes me think of the millions he and his family are making from the two wars he and his kiddie bush started. Did you all notice that bush isnt going to the gop romney love fest and I cant see him ever coming out of hiding, but this clown cheney will never stop showing up. You know he was our president from 2001 to 2009 so he will just keep showing up and then he has the money to keep buying hearts so he can keep showing up, and too bad he couldnt buy a new brain also..

just my humble views

Rob, i read a replacement heart like this is expected to last on average for 6 years. Maybe 2018? ACA will have been fully implemented for 4 years by then.

Does he still have his phone-in death squad?

Does this guy ever go away? Palin was so under qualified, it was pathetic. She can thank the McCain team for launching her career as an airhead commentator, and putting her fat daughter on Dancing with the stars.

I think that Cheney as VP under Bush was a mistake. His connections to Haliburton pushed us into the Iraqi war with questionable evidence about WMD. Ya think?
