The Tea Party is attacking the Republican Governor of Tennessee for an alleged lack of conservative values -- which apparently includes promoting hate and bigotry as far as the Tea Party is concerned. The Governor is under fire for employing Democrats, Muslims, and gays. Watch it.
The tea bagger party is just a bunch of haters who have been held in check as they didnt have the money behind them to go national with the help of the people like the kochs and others they now have a platform in the gop. The old guard of the gop in the 50's and 60's warned of the extremist right which includes the religous haters, the race haters, and government haters. They were men who may have had different ideas on government, but their love of country was an issue. The down fall of the gop begain with reagan and his trikle down which was just for the wealthy and the corporations to begin the rape of America's middle class. Bush one and Bush two continued the voodoo economics and the brain washing of america. The tea baggers are the end result of the brain washing and now they are demanding more power and the gop has no answer on how to stop them. The tea baggers will eat their own on they way to make america in their sick vision....

I just always go back to the old adage that............if you were drowning in a lake and one person had the rope to throw out and save you...............would you refuse it because they were another race?? Would you refuse it because they were another religion?? Would you refuse it because their politics were different from yours?? Would you refuse it because of their sexual orientation??

Shortly after the Korean conflict, I heard some people talking and one was talking about our enemies. After a while the other said, "this country will never be taken from the outside. It will be taken from the within". I had no clue what they were refering to, as I was only in the 5th grade. I now know. The political divide, the racism. the hate, has divided this country to the point of, what I believe, is no return. I don't believe these issues will go away with this election cycle. Or the next. It started many years ago and, if possible, will take many, many years to "heal". It has brought out racism where it was once "buried". It has pitted family members against each other, probably about the intensity as just prior to the civil war. Many elected officials, at all levels, have shown us that our voices doesn't count. They have tried to take away our right of assembly, our freedom of speach, in many cases, our voting rights.
In some respect, you might say reguardless of the outcome of this election, will it heal the "wounds", the racism, hate? NO. Will it add fuel to the fire? I believe so. In some reguard, I believe it will widen the gap.
I won't see a "united" America in my life time. I doubt my kids will. I can only hope my grand kids will, but doubt it. How many years did it take, from slavery to civil rights? Progress but very little really. We are seeing the racism come out of the closet. And now, with it being more open, we also have the gay/lesbian issues some want to treat worse than slavery.
While some social issues are our concern, some are none of our business.
Some things to think about.

donnajoy,
One of the reasons Hilary's motorcade was attacked is that the party that ran against the Muslim Brotherhood thinks that she and powers that be had something to do with fixing the recent election there.

Tomorrow is the beginning of Ramadan the Muslim holy days. We are teaching a special unit on it at my school. I am fed up with the Muslim hate. The ones screaming the loudest know nothing about the religion whatsoever.
If we don't get over the hate and division in this country it will surely destroy us. We are already halfway there with the economy on the brink.
How could any kind of educated person working in or for the government think it is productive to use the Muslim religion to spread hate and division and to harrass and bully a President who is NOT Muslim???
How many of these cretans has been in a public school lately? You will see more ethnic faces than non ethnic. This is our society now. Our schools, our government, our businesses are a reflection of our society.
Maybe somebody can ship some of these lunatics to NYC and have them read the inscription on the Statue of Liberty. It doesn't say send me your non Mulims, your non Gays and your non Democrats.
They are making a mockery of everything this country was founded on. It was founded on immigrants. We are all from someplace else. And in most of our ancestry there is inter-ethnic marriage and inter-racial marriage.
To the Tea Party fringe-----you have more to fear from your banker than you do from gays, non whites, Muslims or anyone who "isnt' like you". Stop embarrassing yourselves and making a laughing stock of the United States around the world. Get some education. Stop watching Fox News and read a damned book for a change.

This just shows what the Tea Party really is all about. Concern about the rising national debt has been a smoke screen, a cover for their real agenda which is hatred and bigotry especially of a black man who happens to be the President of the United States.

Gloria: I hear you, if only we had a Ted Kennedy back on the floor of the Senate. These scum bag tea baggers suck off of the commons provided by all of us, and then bite the hand that feeds them, like during the health care debates I heard so many times:: 'keep yur gubment hands offen my medicah'.
Ignorance can be educated, but there is no way to fix STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!
