Walker Cronies Take Fight to the Schools
posted by Ed Staff | Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Governor Scott Walker's Cronies have taken their fight to the schools, placing this flyer in the Janesville Gazette.  The flyer contains a list of teachers who signed the peitions to recall Governor Walker, and urges parents of students in these teachers' classes to return a form to the school board requesting their "child be assigned to a classroom taught by a non-radical teacher."

The flyer includes the salaries of the teachers in question.  Check out the two-sided flyer below.

Rex, I continue to get canned emails from all over. All they can seem to write to me about is how excited they are that Sarah Jessica Parker is holding a big glitz and glam fundraiser for the President in her posh New York apartment and how I can win a ticket to be there if I throw some money in the coffers.

Do I hear the fiddler tuning up while Democratic Rome burns?

Where the hell are ANY Democrats for that matter? Did they think this was going to be a slam dunk? If this governor succeeds in holding onto his office it is going to be a mind numbing disgrace not only to Wisconsin but to the Democratic party in general.

Do they not get that this is a REFERENDUM on the entire party?? I guess not. Are they so comfortable in their Washington ivory towers or so out of touch? Isnt' that what they accuse Romney of? We are down to just weeks until this recall. The Democratic silence is deafening.

Governor Walker is a despicable vile man for trying to intimidate teachers. I am getting a bad feeling about this whole election with all the nastiness and huge amounts of corporate money that is going into this election. The GOP is trying to bully and badger their way past this election. I wish the Democrats would organize huge marches and get out the vote drives. Where the hell is Debbie Wasserman-Schultz right now? She should be camping out in Wisconsin going from county to county seeing that the troops are organized for battle in June. Walker is outspending Barret $25 to $1 in this election. If this despicable Walker character buys this election I am afraid that nastier things that I can not write about on a public blog could soon happen. Wisconsinites are angry at this Governor Walker. This fight in Wisconsin is a fight against Big Corporate America versus the little 99%. This election may in its own way set the tone for November's general election. The Republicans are throwing everything into this election. Where the HELL IS THE DNC? Wake up people the Republicans are playing to when and it will be the people of Wisconsin who suffer if the DNC fails to give adequate resources.

One more thing, since when are these salaries some kind of windfall??? It takes most teachers over 20 years to get to the 50 to 60 thousand dollar range in salary. You take any other profession but teaching, plug in that many years and you will have well over a hundred thousand by then. Most of their raises each year only amount to about 500 dollar increments. This is why we lose so many teachers to the private sector. And the healthcare benefits are not that great. The school districts have to bid every year for a carrier. Not one time did I ever see a premium go down in all my years of teaching. And just try paying for healthcare if you are a single parent or if both parents are teachers. I paid out over 300 a month for just one child to be put on my plan.

The state employees, WALKER, get a much better plan. Teachers are technically state employees, mandatory state retirement participation, all kinds of state regulations, yet when it comes to insurance coverage they are left out in the cold. Walker belongs in the hall of shame for bullying teachers like this.

Excuse me but isn't Mr. Wonderful himself and a number of his colleages now being investigated for misuse of taxpayer money?? Using taxpayer paid for office equipment to run a campaign?

Here it is again, the rubber and glue concept. Everything the right is guilty of they just package up and try to sell it as an issue that the left is guilty of.

Everyone in the country should call/email the Janesville school board and tell them that they do not want their child being taught by any teacher that didn't sign the recall petition. Also, I think someone should publish the names, salaries, and net worth of all the members of Verify the Recall .com or whoever is behind this anarchists crap. Probably stooges for the Koch funded Americans for Poverty.

Pat,

They may as well have turned out the lights there when they finished filming Friday Night Lights. I didn't know there was any oil left in the Permian Basin. I feel for you.

Hey to lighten things up just buy a copy of Gary Larson (the Far Side) book "Cows of our Planet" and give a copy to each of the good old boys over there. It will take them til the cows come home to "get" the jokes!!!

I am just looking at it this way there are about 50% of the people in this country sitting on their brains. These people are doing just what the 5 judges are allowing them to do buy country and these stupid 50% are going along with it. I tell the righties here becareful what you wish for as you may not like what you really get. If we cant win by a fair election we willl lie, buy, and intimidate to get our way. Doesnt this sound like a spoiled brat. This country will be doomed under these people, and I said before open the camps, deport people, and besure to reeducate the radicals who belong to unions, who disargee, and if you are not a good christian, non pure white, gay, minority, and a good americaqn per our view you will not be allowed any rights. So pack you bags now and advoid the rush. I hate to say this is my view of this country if they win and it wont take long if they control everything.

this isnt my humble view but the view of our future if you dont fit in.

Mitt Romney cares more about his money than he does about you.
