A story leaked recently claiming the DNC is not helping the Wisconsin Democratic Party in the recall of Scott Walker. In the face of polls that show Scott Walker leading Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, we can only wonder -- what is the DNC waiting for?
I saw stat 39% of union households back Walker. Why is Ed so bent out of shape? Im in a union household that backs Walker. Why shouldnt people be able to make up their own minds. This is where Independents like myself and Dem's like Ed part. I listen to both sides and make a decission, but Ed is just a mouth piece for the Dems no matter what. I will think very hard about sending Walker a donation, because this is the USA and we dont need to be told how to think. Give me the information and I can decide what is best for me and my family.

Wisconsin needs money NOW. Having Wasserman come to Wisconsin to fundraise is not enough. Why can't the DNC send at least a half a million dollars? The RNC has NO trouble sending money to Walker. Why does the DNC have trouble doing the right thing? If President Obama is elected, how will it help if he is surrounded by GOP/Tea Party members on the State and Federal Level? Release some of the funds raised and help the home of collective bargaining. Otherwise, we may lose an important state election. The more you give, the more you receive. We need to see the world as one of abundance not scarcity.

One more thing - I had gotten two requests for DNC contributions. I wrote on the reply that we need help from them here in WI. No DNC contributions until we get some help to send Walker to outer space.
Mickey - I do agree with your point - too much focus on the presidential race right now.
Just think if all politicians were honest and did what was right for their constituents - can almost count on one hand those that are willing to do so.

Great call on Ed's radio show today regarding the DNC and their lack (we assume) of willingness to help fund this recall fight. I went ahead and called the DNC - I was transferred to the voicemail of Steve Walker (ironic) and begged him to get things rolling to help us in WI. I told him we were drowing in all of the big money for Walker. Steve Walker did have a # to call for a more urgent response but I wasn't able to write it down quickly enough. I did leave my number - I'll see if he responds.
Also - don't forget prayer and its power. I have never prayed so hard for a canddiate to win - Tom Barrett now and Barack Obama in the fall.
Keep fighting everyone!

The best thing to do is email the White House. I told them to please help Mr. Barrett in Wisconsin. I suggested fund raisers and a Harry Truman style bus tour of Wisconsin, telling them to pull out all the stops for Mr. Barrett. Another possibility is to write to Nancy Pelosi and get them to chip in some DNC money to help Mr. Barrett. If numerous people do this it will get noticed, so email the White House today at:
While I hope the DNC will realize the national importance of this race, and the implications for state and local races around the country, I fear they are so laser focused on the presidential race that they will ignore the House & Senate races until it is too late. Most of the folks in DC can't see past the beltway, and they seem to want to distance themselves from Howard Dean's 50 state strategy because it wasn't their idea. There is no sense in hoarding your ammo if you lose the battle as a result. Some well placed funds now could not only energize their base, but actually help produce a Congress that will work with Obama instead of one that is focused exclusively on winning, no matter the cost to the country.

The dnc needs to step up and help, but the people of wisconsin need to step up as they did earlier and use the thing that has more power and that is their vote. The people control their fate not the dnc and ads and such are good but wisconsin need to get out the VOTE. This is our only true weapon against the likes of the kochs and roves of the world.
just my humble view

Mike Tate said a lot yesterday without saying a lot. The Wisconsin Democrats cannot compete with the monies that Walker has been receiving from the Koch brothers, Bradley Foundation, Adelson, Devos Family, etc. which provides the Governor with capital to do a large number of TV ads BUT the Democrats can do better with as Mike said "boots on the ground." Barrett said in an interview after he won the primary that they will be going to all 72 counties to tell the citizens of Wisconsin the TRUTH about what Walker has been doing. To me this is even more important than the fabrications that Scott is trying to spread on the air. Plus I have faith that the DNC will do the right thing for Wisconsin. I believe Bidden and Pelosi have visited the state to give their support as well as the President earlier this year. I question the article that came out yesterday about the DNC because there was no name for its source. We all have to remember that Walker and his cohorts will do anything to try to "divide and conquer" the good citizens of Wisconsin. The GOP does not and will not play fair. That is how they win elections. Ethics and morals are not their best suit.

Yes, DNC, get going! Personally, I wish Howard Dean was back in charge!
TAX THE RICH and throw out Scott Walker. If you have a buck or two or more to spare, send a donation to One Wisconsin! They are fighting the good fight!
