Ted Nugent, idiot and longtime ignoramus, visited the NRA convention last weekend and gave a radio interview which results in a friendly chat with the Secret Service. Nugent said if Obama is re-elected "I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year." Another threat against the President by a hatemonger conservative. Nugent finished his rant by exhorting his conservative followers to rise up against Democrats and "chop off their heads in November." The Motor City Madman should start an organization - Cowards for Romney or Draft Dodgers for Mitt. He could be the leader and Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Limbaugh, and LaPierre can be members of the board of directors. GOP GOP!

Nugent is one of those frauds who has a big mouth but never did any real heavy lifting when it came time to serve the country. I don't care if people choose to go on active duty or not because its an all volunteer service. But I do care very much about frauds that say someone else has to be the warriors and wage war on such and such a country but they never bothered to wear the uniform themselves. Carrying a rifle around for 100 days plus with all the ammo gets really tiresome after a while. Nearly everyone has 18 hour work days sometimes 20 hour work days just for starters. You eat with your rifle. You carry the rifle to the latrine, on a road march in your vehicle or out, to headquarters where you go it goes with you 24-7. Then of course you have all the stress of your job that increases greatly during wartime. You end up working nights all the time. Nugent never did any of this "soldiering stuff" otherwise he would not be such a B.S. artist.
What's the right way to be if you never served on active duty? Simple enough, you can say our country has a right to defend itself from legitimate threats to our national interests. We should never wage aggressive wars or wars or choice. Give the diplomats time and flexibility to play let's make a deal with the other side. We should only wage war when someone attacks us or has attacked a close U.S. ally. We simply just have to face the threatening country or terrorist group down by fighting it out. Sooner or later the other side always shoots back and some of our people are going to get hurt or killed. Cheney, Limbaugh, and Nugent it seems always had other things to do other than to serve on active duty. Maybe then they wouldn't be so cocky and full of themselves.

Perhaps if gunslinger Palin would have gotten a visit from the men in the black SUV's early on after her crosshairs trick, that tragedy in Arizona may not have ever happened. It's about time we took a zero tolerance policy to all of this. Enough is enough.
I do not intend to live through another Presidential assassination in my lifetime, one was enough.

It's too bad to see what has become of the Nug. If he ever had one redeeming quality, it was his sense of humor. He used to be a guest DJ in the mornings on WLLZ in Detroit and had our carpool cracking up all the way to school. But I digress.
Eight years ago, if anybody so much as disagreed with W (let alone imply threats of violence against him), they would have been locked up or labeled a Seditionist at the very least. Now to be a seditionist is called "patriotic".

Ted Nugent, you are NOT a patriot. Patrick Tillman, who was also an Iraq war protestor IS a patriot. You are not fit to walk in his footsteps. You would probably call him a traitor for protesting an illegal war. But he gave his life for his country, what did YOU do in the war besides avoid it?

Another thought. In the context of the 1000 or so right-wing militias in this country, this kind of talk is very scary! Just look at all the s*** kickers in the NRA audience who were nodding their heads in agreement. Nugent is an uneducated fool who thinks Hillary Clinton is the Vice President! I posted on the thread about the stay at home mom about this guy. I agree we all have the right to say what we want, but dont complain if you are called out and even get a look from the secret service. If he did all that to stay out of the draft he is a non patriot as many of the flag wavers of the right wing are. I get dirty looks when I call ronnie reagan and john boy wayne not true patriots as they both stayed at home during WWII and made movies about the war. I tell people I dont care who you are and where you spent you time in the military or public service as long as you were willing to serve. To many of these so called patriots like this jerk did all they could to dodge the draft and didnt do a thing else to serve the american public. These flag wavers make me sick when the wave the flag, say they have all the rights, and wave the consitution in others face when they havent done poop to protect it, and live off the sacrifices of others. Just love looking at the people listening to him most are losers in my view that run around hating people for who they are not what they believe in or how they live their lives. I hope these people wake up some day and find their freedoms gone when the corporations control the government and then they will lose their guns and the beloved consitution. Then they will have done just what the corporations and people like romney and the rest wanted to make them servants to the corporate state with no guns, no consitution, no freedoms.
