Wisconsin Republicans are up to their old tricks, running fake Democrats, and Mitt Romney might be in trouble for giving out free sandwiches on election day. John Nichols of The Nation joins Ed to recap the rumblings from Wisconsin. Watch it.
That story needs to get major coverage because it isn't the first time it has happened. She is lucky they didn't arrest her like they did that young boy from Harvard Divinity that was at one of his meetings. They decided he looked like someone who had been participating in a protest in another state. They asked him to leave but he stood his ground.
Although it is curious that anyone wanting to recall Walker would want to even pretend to show support for Romney. Wonder who she'll be voting for in November.
So---if Romney is elected is he going to have audiences all over the country surveilled and arrest people that look suspicious? Might as well joing Zimmerman's neighborhood watch.

Lee, Albuquerque: Michigan used to be the home to middle of the road Republicans like Gerald Ford. Maybe Gerry Ford never did anything spectacular for liberals but he was a good politician who was concerned about the welfare of the country. I can live with Republicans like Gerry Ford because they would maintain middle class programs and basically want the country to be left functioning and in good shape. Gerry Ford also tried to bring people together in a bipartisan manner by compromise rather than to drive them apart. Usually people like this are good for public service and good for the nation. Gerry Ford was a good man and he represented a moderate Republican party that I could live with if they were in power. This modern Republican party has gone so far too the right that I am not sure Gerry Ford would even recognize it even if he were alive and walking around Grand Rapids today.

Rex, I couldn't agree with you more about the subversion of democracy in my home state of Michigan. I have asked several of my friends where the outrage is. They are as perplexed as I am. It used to be such a "middle of the road" state and a lot of wonderful people still live there, but politically they really have become Michi-ssippi.

President Obama should make as many campaign stops in Wisconsin to rally Democrats as he possibly can between now and June. It would be really cool to have the President and VP Biden make regular stops in Wisconsin with numerous speeches and rallies in support of local Democratic candidates. I am glad the GOP thinks President Obama has become a bully. I want President Obama to be a big nasty bully from now until November beating up on GOP neanderthals everywhere. President Obama needs to pull out all the stops along with all the facts that can be compiled against the do nothing, obstructionist agenda of the GOP. Governor Walker needs to get bumped off in the June recall election. This act will really scare the hell out of the GOP. If all the Koch brothers money and their stooge Governor Walker can get beat by Democrats in June it will put a big crimp in their style putting the GOP on defense from June until the November election. I hope the Democrats make an all out push in Wisconsin because getting rid of Gov. Walker will have national implications for November.
I really want to see Justice Department action taken against the state of Michigan. Rachel Maddow has done some excellent reporting on the Michigan's GOP dangerous subversion of democracy. The "emergency manager" gambit taken by the GOP subverts local democracy in city councils and school boards. Many actions taken by the GOP controlled Michigan legislature are draconian and reactionary in nature. Many of these GOP legislative actions and signed into law by GOP Governor Rick Snyder are unconstitutional and undemocratic in nature. The GOP loves corporate autocracy that benefits the plutocrats. The GOP philosophy is keep the working class unorganized with right to work laws, anti-union, anti-voter, anti-women's healthcare, and anti-minority initiatives while giving the rich and large corporations huge tax cuts paid for by huge cuts in public and higher education, healthcare, and other state government services. Can any of you say: "ALEC"?

Once again, this points to the fact that Mitty truly believes that by virtue of his money, that “he”, is above the law…any law, (including U. S. tax laws I might add).
Ryan knew better, and because he is attempting to kiss the a$$ of Mr. 1%, he thought he could get away with pulling a fast one on the people of his own state.
The problem with these guys and their party is that they honestly think the laws were created to keep the 99% “in their place“, while the 1% “deserve” to enjoy the freedom and liberty guaranteed to “themselves” but not to the rest of “U.S.“
As a matter of fact, that is precisely what “THEY” mean when THEY say “ELITISM”.

I guess the message is vote for us, and we'll give you six inches. More fake Democrats? Obviously they feel they can't beat Obama fair and square, so they will lie, cheat, 'lose' votes, manufacture fake Democrats, whatever it takes to get the flim / flam man in office. And we have the nerve to go to third world countries to monitor their elections for hanky panky.

In case there aren't enough reasons to despise mittens here's another confirmed story from Wisconsin..... a woman signed up online to attend mitten's "public town hall meeting." She was let in and given a romney sticker which she dutifully put on her shirt. A little while later before the "man" got there, she was escorted out because the staff checked her name and it came up on a "recall Walker" petition.
Free speech as long as it's the "right" speech!
TAX THE RICH, that's how to pay the deficit!!

Hey pat...here is one more reason I heard on The Last Word... Romney is suggesting that President Obama wants to creat a "new religion" that isn't a religion at all. Romney is trying to impress on us that President Obama is an atheist now! Because polls show that 49% will not vote for an atheist. If all else fails for the repubs they just make up new lies on President Obama as they go along.
