Watch as Sam Brownback responds to a caller on C-Span who says the GOP is trying to roll back women's rights. At the 2:20 mark, Brownback repeats the standard GOP solution to workers demands -- "If a woman then wants birth control, go work somewhere else.”
The repub's should hold their convention in the Denver airport. It's the only structure I can think of that simulates a giant revival tent. Together they can lay the hands upon each otha anda cast out the evila that dare not to thinka like they do. They are completely, positively losing their minds.

Excellent point Ron. I think if you look in the dictionary under "organized religion" it says See Mafia. And again what do we notice about nearly all the leaders of these mega churches and mega religions----mostly white mostly male. Whether its Jimmy Swaggart or the Crystal Cathedral sooner or later they all seem to fall. Politicians and televangelists have become interchangeable.

This man is just like the rest and I have said before let the gop=tea bagger women put an asprin between their keens and JUST SAY NO! These religious schools, hospitials, and other businesses are for profit and when they say they are not they are as big as liars as the politicans who kiss up to them. They should have to give care and education for little or no cost to their people, and pay their people a good wage and benefits, and stop giving the big shots who also run the church a cent from these places. How come all these religious leaders are living high on the hog just like the 1% ers. I havent seen many poor church leaders no matter of faith. If a man or woman is a true follower of their faith they wouldnt be living in a fancy house, eating fancy food, and driving caddies and beemers. Why arent they living like the people they say they are there to serve. Religions have made faith a business with ceo's , boards, and all the rest. I think they should pay taxes like others until they start living by the book the say is the insperation.
just my humble rant

Bob Bobonde, ND: I am not sure why any women would vote Republican either. No one has to love abortion but pregnancies caused by rape, incest, and that endanger the health of the mother are reasons enough to keep abortion legal. There is lots of this stuff that happens everywhere even in "respectable" families. Any man who is against birth control and family planning for women or girls is a total idiot. Insurance companies need to pay for this because about 99% of women use birth control in this country, even Catholic women. It would be nice if medical decisions about birth control, family planning, and abortion were left to trained professionals like doctors and nurses who can help the girl or woman make the right decision for herself. Whatever gave conservative politicians the belief that can stick their nose into women's bedrooms and private lives?
This type of conservative radicalism on abortion is something I have never understood. Rape, incest, and dangerous life threatening pregnancies or a worthless drunk boyfriend who abandons the woman to poverty are the reasons for most abortions. Maybe we should raise taxes on all those rich conservatives when the county social service budget has to get raised for all of these babies. But that is "socialism" don't you think? When you figure out conservatives come and write back to me. Because I am lost in trying to understand their logic or lack thereof.

Eugenie, Seattle: We are looked upon by the Afghans as an occupying army. This sort of situation is always bleak. I hope we pullout soon because there is little to be gained by staying any longer. Everyone in that country including Pakistan are just taking our money and then shooting Americans or bombing us whenever they get a chance. Even the ones on our payroll do this! There is no "winning" in a place like Afghanistan. Its just a matter of when the price gets too high for us and we declare victory and pullout. The Taliban is not our enemy, al Quaida and there affiliates have been dealt hard blows. We should have started leaving after Osama bin Laden was killed. I hope the troops come home soon.

Mr. Santorum, stop the attacks on the Constitution, and on higher education, namely colleges. I don't want to hear your bullshit about the separation of church and State, anymore! You know darn well that it clearly exists! Excuse me Mr. Santorum, the lawyer!!!!! Isn't the Catholic Church doing enough on its own, to drive people out of the pews?????????? You Mr. Hypocrite, have a college degree, and Law Degree, and in the process ran for the Senate. If not for your degrees, you probably wouldn't not have been able to be where you are today! Mr. Hypocrite!!!!!!! You paid for your own kids, supposed, home schooling, and, education ,for four of the years, with thousands of dollars ,of Pennsylvania, school district, and taxpayers funded resources, and other things, like money-- to send your kids to, school, via- the internet! There is nothing wrong with going to school , via- the internet, but there is something wrong with making taxpayers pay for it! Get out of here, you, lying, hypocrite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
