Campaigning in Florida this morning, Rick Santorum intimated President Obama defunded abstinence programs because he wants "people to be in poverty." Santorum said, "He is deliberately misinforming the most vulnerable people in our society and targeting them toward a life that has less economic potential."

These are people who actually believe you can kill an idea by burning it or banning it. In fact just the opposite is true. They thought if they killed JFK that his progressive ideas would die with him. They thought if they killed MLK that racial equality would die with him. They thought if they killed RFK that anti war sentiment would die with him.
Hasn't exactly worked out that way has it??? You cannot stop an idea whose time has come no matter who the messenger. It's time to brink back the progressive nation we had during JFK. It's time to end the wars like RFK felt we should. It's time to bring back not only racial equality like MLK wanted, but now income equality.
If all 3 were alive today, I think they would also be appalled at the media for what they are trying to do in keeping the American people ever distracted from their goals and ideas with junk tv, junk news, and junk rag newspapers and magazines. Journalism used to be a dignified profession. Now it is a bunch of cameramen and talking heads and sensational headlines designed to provoke, not promote or prevent. The news has actually become "the news". It was never supposed to be that way. I remember a time when news men and women never wanted the spotlight, they wanted the story.

I just love how they say this admidistraton has these regulations but really never say what agency that made them, who signed off on them. I laugh as the state of Tennessee wants to replace their text books that show the founders owned slaves and they want the books to show how these men were for freedom of all people and not to mention they own slaves. This is how the gop=tea bagger live. Lies and falsehoods like this. What admidistration could tell anybody what they can say or cant say. I know this man is a liar as our daughter had sex education in high school and they talked about what this man is lying about. How can people believe these people? It just shows me how lazy the supporter of these people are. They are sheep going to the dinner table and they are the main course.

Sounds like Rickpocrisy hates his wife's fling with abortion doctor so bad that he is willing to make other women suffer with his hard-line pro-life views. Santorum is one angry little man, and he is taking it out on women.

Ok let's talk about abstinence. How about abstinence from running around on your wife while you berate a sitting President for having an affair like Newt Gingrich?
How about abstinence from buying politicians and elections like the GOP is so prone to do?
How about abstinence from talking about people in poverty like they are subhuman and must clean the toilets?
How about abstinence from WAR?? You never talk about that. That would be an abstinence that we all could benefit from.
How about abstinence from trying to take away people's Medicare and Social Security that desperately need it?
How about abstinence from trying to raise tax rates on the 99% while you continue to lobby Congress to lower tax rates on the richest 1%?
How about abstinence from your drill baby drill philosophy that is keeping this country imprisoned by making us dependent on foreign oil thereby making us dependent of waging war to protect said oil??
How about abstinence from enacting fascist voter i.d. laws designed to suppress minority and student voting??'
How about abstinence from police brutality against Americans just trying to exercise their first amendment rights??
How about abstinence from the total hypocrisy we have to listen to from the GOP during these debates.
OK that's 10. Mr. Santorum, I think most Americans are more interested in the kind of abstinence I am talking about above. And for the record, abstinence programs for teens have been proven rather ineffective in preventing teen sex. You think hitting them over the head with Bibles is going to work?? When was the last time you were in a school full of teeenagers??? Are your kids teenagers yet??

It is time to end the Sugar Beet Subsidies. Time to stop Dave Berg's $2.4 million dollar American Crystal Sugar welfare paycheck courtesy of our tax dollars.
By the way you should see the mansions most of these growers live in while receiving sugar subsidies. Some even have airplanes so they can go on hunting trips, snowmobiles for every kid, brand new cars every year, vacation homes, lake homes & etc...... yet they can't pay their workers a living wage at American Crystal Sugar.
