Trump Says “Sh*thole” Countries was “Not the Language Used”

President Trump on Friday responded to a Washington Post report that he referred to some immigrants as being from “shithole countries,” saying that those weren’t the words he used.

“The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used. What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made – a big setback for DACA!” Trump said in a Friday morning Tweet.

The tweet is a reference to a meeting at the White House where the President reportedly called Haiti, El Salvador, and several African nations “shithole countries.”

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said during the meeting according to the Post.
