McMaster Says Trump’s Rocket Man Tweet “Appears to Be” About North Korea

National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster on Sunday tried to interpret what the President’s early morning tweet about “Rocket Man” meant regarding policy on the Korean Penninsula.

McMaster was asked if North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un was the “rocket man” in question.

“Well, it’s — it appears to be so,” McMaster replied. “That is where the rockets and missiles are coming from, is North Korea.” McMaster said in an interview with ABC’s “This Week.”

He added that the U.S. has to “make sure all options are under development to ensure that this regime cannot threaten the world with a nuclear weapon.”

McMaster was also asked if the President is willing to strike if the North Koreans don’t give up their weapons.

“He’s been very clear about that,” McMaster replied. “All options are on the table.”
