An Idaho State Representative is facing criticism after he shared a conspiracy theory that former President Obama took part in orchestrating the violent white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, VA as a plan to take down President Trump.
Idaho Rep. Bryan Zollinger on Friday shared a story on Facebook that suggested Obama and billionaire Democratic donor George Soros and Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe took part in the conspiracy to orchestrate the rally, according to reports from the Idaho Statesman.
“I’m not saying it is true, but I am suggesting that it is completely plausible,” Zollinger wrote in a Facebook Post.
Zollinger told the Idaho Statesman that it was “maybe a mistake” to post the story, but said he still thought the claims were “plausible.”
