U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson thinks “global action” is necessary to stop the “global threat” of North Korea following Pyongyang’s successful test of an Intercontinental Bllistic Missile.
Tillerson said the U.S. would “enact stronger measures” against the North Koreans, saying the U.S. would never accept them as a nuclear power.
Tillerson added that the U.S. would discuss the situation at the United Nations Security Council and a meeting was scheduled for Wednesday.
“Global action is required to stop a global threat,” Tillerson said.
“Any country that hosts North Korean guest workers, provides any economic or military benefits, or fails to fully implement UN Security Council resolutions is aiding and abetting a dangerous regime.”
Tillerson added that the United States “will never accept a nuclear-armed North Korea.”
