Sen. Luther Strange, R-AL, on Sunday, called on Senators to keep working to make progress on health care and other policy.
“We need to work as hard as President Trump is working,” Strange said during an appearance on Fox News.
The Senator, who has only been in office for 4 months, acknowledged that he is new to Washington.
“I have only been there a little over four months,” he said, commenting on Congress’ upcoming summer recess. “It seems to me we should be rolling up our sleeves.”
The idea of a monthlong break before addressing key issues, like healthcare and taxes “doesn’t sit well with me,” Strange added.
“And I’m positive it doesn’t sit well with the citizens of my state.”
