Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday repeated his promise to repeal the Affordable Care Act by the end of the summer despite no clear plan to get enough votes to pass the legislation in the Senate.
“(President Donald Trump) believes in state-based solutions, not one-size-fits-all Washington answers,” Pence said during a speech at a Cleveland manufacturing facility.
During his speech, Pence targeted Dennicrats, saying former President Obama’s signature healthcare legislation created skyrocketing insurance premiums and deductibles and criticized Democrats for obstructing healthcare reform.
“Obamacare has failed, and Obamacare must go,” Pence said. “You’d have to be a politician blinded by partisanship to believe otherwise. But, sadly, Congress is full of them.”
