Republican Karen Handel defeated Democrat Jon Ossoff Tuesday in the Georgia special election to fill the vacant Congressional seat left open by Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price.
Prior to Tuesday, polling showed the race neck and neck. With $5 million in spending, it was the most expensive House race in history.
After all the votes are counted, Handel is expected to top Ossoff by nearly 4 points.
The race was seen largely as a referendum on President Trump, as have most of the House special elections that have taken place since he was elected.
