President Trump on Thursday conceded that the house Republican healthcare bill could “change a little bit” as it heads to the Senate for a vote.
“It could change a little bit,” Trump said, the White House Press pool reported. “It could be maybe even better. It’s a very good bill right now.”
Trump promised the new healthcare bill will be more affordable than Obamacare.
“Premiums are going to come down substantially. Deductibles are going to come down. It’s going to be fantastic healthcare. Right now ObamaCare is failing,” he added.
The House passed the bill on a party-line vote by a margin of 217-213 Thursday afternoon. Twenty Republicans joined every Democrat in voting against the bill.
