Trump Says He Has the “Absolute Right” to Share Facts with Russia

President Trump on Tuesday said he has an “absolute right” to share facts with Russia after a report Monday that he had released highly classified intelligence to Russian officials during a meeting last week.

“As President I wanted to share with Russia (at an openly scheduled W.H. meeting) which I have the absolute right to do, facts pertaining…to terrorism and airline flight safety,” Trump tweeted.

“Humanitarian reasons, plus I want Russia to greatly step up their fight against ISIS & terrorism.”

The Washington Post reported Monday that the President had revealed highly classified intelligence to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador during a meeting last week at the White House.
