President Trump on Thursday took to Twitter to criticize the media and accuse them of making up sources.
Trump’s comments come as the administration faces leaks from the intelligence community. Earlier this week National Security Adviser Michael Flynn resigned his post after reports that he had contacts with the Russian ambassador. The New York Times also reported on Tuesday that campaign staff for Trump had ongoing contact with Russian officials during the campaign.
“FAKE NEWS media, which makes up stories and ‘sources,’ is far more effective than the discredited Democrats – but they are fading fast!” the president tweeted Thursday.
